Mataranka Limestone Quarry

The Mataranka limestone quarry, operated by Northern Cement on behalf of Adelaide Brighton, is the only source of industrial lime products in the Northern Territory. Annual quarry production is about 200,000 tonnes which is used as feedstock for the Mataranka kiln. Various lime products are shipped all over the Territory for use in the building and mining industries.

Darwin City Waterfront

The Darwin City Waterfont is probably the Territory's most ambitious project since the Palm Valley gas pipeline. The first stage of converting Darwin's original wharf area into a bustling residential and commercial precinct is on schedule for completion by late 2008. It includes a convention centre, multi storey car park, wave pool, five star hotel and a mixed-use block of luxury apartments above dining, retail and commercial areas.
